Here in Australia one university is following students through WiFi logins http://www.smh.com.au/national/university-students-you-are-being-watched-20160811-gqqet7.html

It has been suggested that spending a lot of time around one of the university bars (I don't know whether you have them in America, but as drinking age in Australia is 18 we generally have one or more bars on campus).
