This measures the reported incidence of mental disorders, right? Which is somewhat self-selected.

The paradox may be explained by a reluctance of immigrants to seek help, while natives are less reluctant. Or maybe the immigrants don't know about avenues for help. Similarly, maybe white natives have even less reluctance to go for help than hispanic natives.

It's as much an anthropology experiment, or a study of behavior, as opposed to a measurement of the mental health of the groups in the study.
